Please use this link to view the collaborative policy-report, entitled “Young People’s Political Engagement 2019”, that has now been released by Partnership Young London following the highly successful event at the Old Bailey last April.  This contains substantial contributions from the Leverhulme Research team including a research briefing note on the current context of the votes-at-16 debate in the UK and a report on the debate and court proceedings from the day.

Well done to everyone who contributed to the votes-at-16 debate.  What a spectacular venue and the debate more than lived up to it.  Particular thanks to Sharon Long at Partnership Young London for organising such a successful day and to all the young people, jurors and witnesses who contributed to such an in depth and lively discussion in Court Room 1.  The quality of the debate was especially high throughout.

Dr Andy Mycock (Project Co-I) with High Sheriff Elizabeth Green and Judge Sarah Munro QC.  Many thanks to both for giving up their Saturday afternoons to allow us to run the votes-at-16 event at the Old Bailey on 6th April 2019.
